Week 3 Re-Cap

What we learned - Week 3
We learned that San Diego has the best player in football.

We learned that this is the week Detroit did not look so bad.

We learned that Dante can still throw the rock and the Saints may already be out of gas.

We learned that Dallas has a big leak in their Defense.

We learned that the Jets are in real trouble.

We found out that no matter the year or the place, giving the Patriots time to win at the end of the game is not a good idea.

We learned Cincinnati is for real. Indianapolis is struggling, but winning, Buffalo is not as good as we originally thought.

We saw that a kicker matters whether he plays for Green Bay, Arizona, Oakland, Philadelphia or New England - they matter.

We learned that the Chiefs have running problems without Willie Roaf...

We learned that Brian Westbrook should have a contract.

We learned that Cadillac Williams is pretty darn good.

Indianapolis is winning games with minimal offense, when they get it going - and they will it will be tough for everyone. Cincinnati has to be the biggest surprise this season so far. Give LT the rock. Keyshawn and Terry still have it at their age. Vinniy is a Jet again. Oakland is a decent 0-3 team and with a little luck they could be 2-1. St. Louis is going to be 8-8 unless they get more consistant on defense. Tampa is a quite 3-0.

Donovan McNabb : Philadelphia

McNabb is currently the top QB in virtually all fantasy football scoring formats but is currently suffering from a plethora of ailments. In light of his most recent injury, a sports hernia, we suggest you unload McNabb immediately. While the hernia should not slow him down, we are concerned that the ignorance of coach Reid will lead to McNabb suffering a more severe injury (much like the David Akers situation). Though McNabb is banged up, Coach Reid did not hesitate to have Donovan drop back 52 times in Sunday’s victory…52! While 52 attempts is great for fantasy points, exposing an already inured McNabb to that kind of punishment will see the Eagles QB on IR sooner rather than later. Due to Reid’s history of being stubborn we recommend selling McNabb high before it’s too late! (Hence, you may want to unload Westbrook and Owens as well)

Arizona RB’s : Arizona

JJ Arrington received early pre-draft hype but has fizzled in the first three weeks. Will it change? No! Do not expect Arrington to rebound with any monster games in the near future. Marcell Shipp is cutting into his time and now with QB Warner out for a month, Arrington will be even less productive. As far as Shipp, expect a bump in his carries, but TD’s to be few and far between. We do not recommend having either of these RB’s on your team. Cut them today!

Arnaz Battle : San Francisco

We know he strained his hamstrung this week, but if you are in need of a WR, we recommend picking up Battle this week. He has been the most consistent fantasy producer on the 49ers and we hear his hamstring will be fine. Additionally, Battle (the former Notre Dame QB) is being utilized much like the original slash, Kordell Stewart, and should receive at least 3 rush attempts per game and perhaps even a pass attempt. Latch onto him now as a WR bye week fill in.

Courtney Anderson : Oakland

If you need a TE, do not hesitate to pick up this 6’ 07” behemoth. With all the attention Moss, Porter and Lamont Jordan are seeing, Anderson is running free down the field. He responded with 5 catches for 100 yards in week 3 to compliment the 2 TD’s he scored in week 1. Look for the Raiders to utilize him even more in the coming weeks as he could have some monster games.

Did you notice that Kerry Collins (Oak) has fumbled in all three games this season? This guy is not a winner!
